We wish success in studies to all scholarship recipients!

This year, 148 students from the University of Latvia and other Latvian higher education institutions, representing various study fields, have become the bearers of the UL Foundation and patrons' names. This year, a total of 35 scholarship sets have been awarded, thanks to both long-term and new patrons.

Scholarships bring ideas and hopes for future opportunities, outstanding achievements in the future and a rich contribution to society. Every year the circle of patrons of the University of Latvia and the University of Latvia Foundation expands - it is not only philanthropy, but also a significant appreciation for joint work.

Donate - a verb that signifies philanthropy, our willingness to give, to help each other, a word that emphasizes the deepest meaning of this process and this action. Chairman of the Board of the University of Latvia, prof. emer. Ivars Lācis, emphasizes how much more capable and smarter students and young researchers have become, thanks to the favor of patrons and donors, to what extent the UL Foundation has developed and how much the number of scholarship holders has increased compared to its beginnings in 2001.
