From August 2 to September 5 at At 23:59 it is possible to apply for 1st year scholarships for bachelor studies in 2021/2022 academical year. A total of 7 different scholarship sets are available.

The 1st year scholarships managed by the University of Latvia (UL) Foundation for this academic year are “Ceļamaize”, Latgale “Ceļamaize”, M. M. V. Petkevičs Memorial Scholarship, Kundziņu family Scholarship and Jelgava, Valka, Salaspils district scholarships.

You can apply for the scholarship if you are diligent, active in public life and able to study, as well as if the weighted average degree is higher than 7.5 points.

The scholarship “Ceļamaize” is intended for the students of the 1st year undergraduate study program of the University of Latvia, who, upon graduating from high school, have excellent success in studies and high achievements in studies and other activities outside the study work.

Latgale "Ceļamaize" scholarship is intended for students of the 1st year undergraduate study program of the University of Latvia, who, after graduating from high school, have excellent success in studies and other achievements in studies and other activities outside the study work, and whose origin can be found in Latgale - student himself or one of his parents has been declared on the Latgale side.

The Minnas Matilde Vilhelmīne Petkevičs Memorial Scholarship is intended for students of the 1st year undergraduate study programs of the University of Latvia, who, after graduating from high school, have excellent academic achievements and high achievements in both studies and other activities outside the study work, but have insufficient material provision for studies.

The Kundziņi Family Scholarship is the largest donation scholarship in the bachelor's study program. The scholarship is intended for two students - one scholarship is provided for the study program of primary school teachers - at the Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Art. The second scholarship is intended for information and communication technology - Faculty of Computer Science.

Any 12th grade graduate declared (at least one year) in the administrative territory of Jelgava municipality, who has registered for studies in any of the Latvian higher education institutions in any bachelor study program 2020/2021, can apply for the Jelgava municipality scholarship. akad. per year. The applicant may work for pay.

The Salaspils municipality scholarship is intended for the Salaspils municipality registered in the administrative territory of Salaspils municipality (at least one year) and the second scholarship - for a graduate of Salaspils 1st or 2nd secondary school - a prospective graduate who will study in any of Latvia's higher education programs in 2020/2021. akad. per year from September. The applicant may work for pay.

Any graduate of Valka Jānis Cimze Gymnasium who starts studies at the university in the current year and whose average grade in the certificate of general secondary education reaches 7.5 points can apply for a scholarship of Valka municipality.
