The patron company Tilde (1991) is a developer of a wide range of software and a localizer of technologies in the Baltic countries ensuring translation and adaptation of technologies into local languages and their harmonization with the local laws and culture. The services include full support of the Latvian and foreign languages in the digital environment.

Tilde funding enabled establishment of scholarship for Computing Research has been established in order to support and motivate diligent and talented students of the UL Faculty of Physics and Mathematics and Faculty of Computing.

In the 2008/2009 academic year, the first scholarship of Computing in the amount of EUR 2 150 was granted to Kaspars Balodis.

In the 2012/2013 academic year, the recipients of the scholarship were Ginta Garkāje and Audris Ločmelis.

On 23 March 2015, Tilde gifted to the UL Foundation the accountancy system "Tildes Jumis" developed by Tilde and a subscription for one year. The amount of the donation was EUR 906.26.

In 2018, the company supported the forum cycle "Formula of Latvia 2050. Development Scenarios" with EUR 1 000.
