Application of radiation technologies to Latvian timber for the needs of musical instrument resonators

Within the framework of the project, recommendations will be developed for the application of radiation technologies in the production of musical instrument materials from spruces and maples growing in Latvia. The aim of the project is to develop an express method for the selection of timber for musical instruments and to expand the use of UL linear electron accelerator (ELU-4), involve small manufacturers to ensure ELU-4 maintenance costs, expand the scientific capacity of researchers, entrepreneurs and students, as well as involve new students in research.

Total costs: EUR 12 000.

Project manager: researcher, engineer Andris Leščinskis, UL Institute of Chemical Physics.
