Reduction of cardiovascular mortality in patients with peripheral arterial occlusive disease in the perioperative period

The long-term goal of the project is to reduce cardiovascular mortality in patients with peripheral arterial occlusive disease during the perioperative period.

The completed study will serve as a pilot project for a larger study and possible changes to the guidelines for patient examination and cardiovascular treatment prior to vascular surgery. The result of this research would reach beyond a local impact, as it is expected to bring a global-level innovation.

Total costs: EUR 80 000.
