The Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation was established in December 1975, in accordance with Aristotle Onassis’ (1906–1975) wish to honour the memory of his late son Alexander.

The foundation supports cultural, educational, environmental, health-related and social solidarity projects. The foundation’s activities promote the humanistic ideals of the Hellenic civilization.
