A high-tech company developing and manufacturing anti-reflective and other high-performance coatings on glass and acrylic for various industries: The products are used in art framing, electronic display production, architectural and design solutions, and others, where “invisible glass” is required. Most of the production is exported to more than 45 countries worldwide. Established in 2004. The company’s capacity allows for coating of 1.5 million m2 of glass in a year.

The company’s funding has enabled establishment of the Solid State Physics Scholarship in 2007 to support, as well as motivate aspiring and talented students of the University of Latvia Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Optometry who wish to pursue in-depth studies in solid state physics, research of anti-reflexive coatings.

The scholarships are awarded since the 2007/2008 academic year. Since the first disbursement to date, four scholarships have been awarded to talented young researchers.

In the 2007/2008 academic year, scholarship was awarded to Uģis Gertners (EUR 1 450).

In the 2008/2009 academic year, scholarship was awarded to Jeļena Miķelsone (EUR 2 150).

In the 2009/2010 academic year, scholarship was awarded to Edgars Nitišs (EUR 2 150).

In the 2011/2012 academic year, scholarship was awarded to Mārtiņš Zubkins (EUR 2 150).

In the 2015/2016 academic year, the company resumed awarding a scholarship to physics and chemistry students at Latvian universities to improve their knowledge and skills in the field of thin film optical coating technology.

In 2016, the company donated EUR 2 205.
