Support

In 1995, IBM supported the University of Latvia with USD 500 000, thereby promoting specialist training.

In 2003, IBM provided EUR 700 as a contribution to organising the international mathematics teams’ competition Baltijas Ceļš’03 (Baltic Way’03).

In the autumn of 2007, as a part of its 15th anniversary programme, IBM Latvija invited collaborating companies to donate funds to support the operation of the UL A. Liepa Extramural Mathematics School. A total of EUR 3 555 was donated, most of which came from IBM Latvija.

On 3 May 2007, a collaboration agreement between the University of Latvia and IBM under the "IBM Academic Initiative" programme confirmed the company’s commitment to developing a closer collaboration in research, education and other areas.

We greatly appreciate the generous support to education and development!
