A non-governmental organization (2005) that provides developmental opportunities for families raising children with severe mental and other functional disabilities, and cares for children living in poverty. The association works to foster a sense of value in these children and lay the foundations for future opportunities so that they can grow into personalities and become recognized as value by family, community and state.

In 2012, Velki Scholarship was created for students of the University of Latvia with functional limitations and/or students from large families.

The association has donated EUR 3 813.30 that were originally received from the Swedish organization "Star of Hope International".

The donation is intended to cover the tuition fees and daily expenses of Oļegs Zubkovs, a student of the bachelor's programme at the UL Faculty of Business, Management and Economics from 1 July 2012 to 31 July 2013.

In the 2012/2013 academic year, the scholarship was awarded to Māra Antenišķe (EUR 1 700) and Ita Romanauska (EUR 1 700).

We greatly appreciate the generous support to education and development!
