Atcerieties, ka jūs nekad nesaņemsiet to, ko vēlaties, ja nemēģināsiet. Esmu vienmēr ticējusi, ka nekad nevarat zaudēt, sekojot lietām, kas liek justies lieliski. Tātad nebaidies uzņemties risku, kļūdīties un, pats galvenais, būt pacietīgam. Viss nāk pie jums īstajā brīdī.

What would you recommend to students who have doubts about applying for scholarships next year?

Remember, you will never get what you want if you never try. I always believed that when you follow the things that feel great to you, you can never lose. So, don’t be afraid to take risks, make mistakes and, most importantly, be patient. Everything comes to you in the right moment.

Kādu grāmatu (-as) tu ieteiktu izlasīt citiem stipendiātiem?

What book (s) would you recommend to read to other scholarship receivers?

I would recommend reading the novel of Hermann Hesse, for which he won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1946, “The Glass Bead Game”. Also, as a Lithuanian recipient I think it would be fair to recommend a novel by Lithuanian poet and writer Vincas Mykolaitis–Putinas, “In  the Shadow of the Altars”.

Kādu filmu (-as) tu ieteiktu noskatīties citiem stipendiātiem?

Es iesaku filmas, kas iedvesmo un iemāca cilvēkiem vissvarīgākās dzīves vērtības: “A Beautiful Mind” (2001), “King of Devil’s Island” (2010), “My Name is Khan” (2010), “The Pursuit of Happiness” (2006).
